Description

The Master of Public Health is a two-year, full-time program combining coursework and supervised research. It equips students with advanced skills in Public health aspects including public health interventions. The program prepares health professionals to develop public health program and interventions, evaluate public health programs/interventions, Understanding of healthcare systems, and critically assess social and cultural factors influencing health. Graduates gain expertise in disease surveillance, health problem investigation, data analysis, and dissemination of findings to inform evidence-based policies in Rwanda, the East African Community, and beyond. By the end of the program, professionals are expected to: • Investigate health problems and identify priorities • Formulate public health policies to address local and national needs • Identify risk factors and propose evidence-based interventions

Entry Requirements

- Must have atleast one year of experience in health sector - English proficiency is the requirement for the applicants - Agreement to comply with the Postgraduate regulations of the University of Rwanda

Ideal Student Profile

Candidates holding at least Bachelor's degree in health sciences and related fields, Biology, biochemistry, social sciences, physics, demography, mathematics, chemistry, nursing and management, environmental Health, Nutrition.
