Description

The Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology is a subspecialty clinical training program designed to develop advanced expertise in the diagnosis and management of cancers affecting the female reproductive system. Delivered over 2 years through hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic instruction with supervised clinical and surgical practice in oncology services. It emphasizes competencies in cervical, ovarian, endometrial, and vulvar cancer management, oncologic surgery, chemotherapy principles, multidisciplinary cancer care, and palliative care, alongside research and quality improvement training, preparing graduates to serve as specialist gynecologic oncologists within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
