Description

The Fellowship in Adult Critical Care Medicine is a subspecialty clinical training program designed to equip physicians with advanced skills in the management of critically ill adult patients. Delivered over approximately 2–3 years through intensive hospital-based training, the program combines structured academic teaching with supervised clinical practice in intensive care units and related specialties. It emphasizes competencies in advanced life support, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, organ support, and multidisciplinary critical care management, alongside research and quality improvement, preparing graduates to provide high-level critical care services and leadership within Rwanda’s health system and beyond.
